I am a local artist with a passion for colour and life. Born with several visual complications, I underwent 3 major eye surgeries as a child, and my parents were told I would be blind by the age of 20.
Though my visual sensitivities have been life-impacting, I’ve surpassed my 20s and found a way to create beauty for others amidst my visual limitations. Expressing myself through acrylic & oil paintings, I seek to bring artwork that can “speak” in its unique way to the one beholding it.
This is the heart of the voice of silence: that you may know in the stillness that you are not alone, that you matter.

Meet the creative team
I start my art in silence. The heartbeat of my art is to create images that speak to our humanity. Beauty is something that speaks to each person louder than words, especially in times when words fail. Each piece of art is created in such a way that the one beholding it receives something on a deeper level, like a personal message spoken within.
I want a movement in my life and in my art that makes a tangible difference in the lives I encounter. I adapt the movement of my paintings in order to reach different people because we all need something unique.
I’ve spent 20 years serving various countries, cultures and social classes as a missionary. I’ve used art as a means to communicate in order to bring healing or self-awareness to people from every walk of life. My hope for Voice of Silence Healing Art is to reach people in their deepest interior and offer something to rest in and rest before: whether that is a message of beauty, solace, truth, hope, courage, etc. I wish to develop art that tells the heart they are personally seen and heard.
I love hearing stories, especially ones that come from the heart. As a kid, I would be the one to always ask for bedtime stories. Now, through Voice of Silence, I have the privilege of hearing real stories, your story, of who you are, how you got here, and where you’d like to go.
As Art Manager, I will walk with you from your first concept of what your heart is looking for… to bringing that perfect piece to your heart and home.
Ms. Paiement’s visual limitations can cause debilitating pain, especially when exposed to screens or bright lights. Without her eyes, she is unable to paint. Because of that, I handle the website, orders and emails… but my favourite part will always be connecting with people from all walks of life, each with their unique story. I take great joy in answering questions, having consults over coffee (whether in-person or virtually), and, of course, treasuring that moment when someone first sees their piece with a “WOW!”… followed by a softer quieting of the soul as they look deeper.
After 20 years of friendship, I’ve had the same response to Ms. Paiement’s artwork as she’s grown as an artist – and I want to ensure you receive that response as well. I am honoured to share a moment in your story, and I’m sincerely looking forward to helping you.
I see the people of Maui starting over as they heal
I just got the paintings and they are absolutely beautiful. Each of them I feel everything you put in your paintings. I see angels in each of the paintings. The painting called “new beginnings” I saw Maui the island that was burned. I see the people of Maui starting over as they heal.
“Refuge of Rest” I see the angels in the painting ministering to me. Those are just the replicas and I feel the emotions in the paintings and goes to my soul. This is what these beautiful pictures spoke to me. I love them very much.

This painting anchored me in a difficult season
I requested this painting when I was going through a hard time. I wanted something to anchor me and give me a visual sign of light and hope. I’ve spent countless hours sitting with it and soaking in its deeper meanings. “Grace” has been a precious gift in my healing journey.
Incredibly personal
There is something incredibly personal with Paiement’s artwork.
Looking at her paintings of nature draw me into a deeper connection with the beauty of life. As I gaze at one of her paintings, I find myself contemplating things much bigger than myself and I enjoy the sense of peace within her artwork.
It feels like a gift of love from her to the viewer.
I think her works contain a sense of mystery as well. Paiement’s intention of creating art that helps create stillness for those who end up with one of her paintings is a beautiful aspect of Paiement as an artist.

The artist really captured Ace in her painting! It looks just like him. She was able to capture his soul and underlying characteristics that make him Ace! It’s hard for me to describe other than it’s absolutely beautiful and perfect and I love it!
