For me, art is a personal thing . It comes from a lifetime of experiences and who I am. The purpose of my art is not simply to have something beautiful to look at, but to draw to the surface the deeper part of who you are, and whatever it is you are carrying. It is meant to be a presence where your soul can rest and even face the things that make you restless.
It’s often difficult being still within the silence, but without silence, we cannot touch our deepest interior. It is in the purity of silence where the hidden truths of the heart and the gravity of life’s experiences rise to the surface.
In that place of silence, my artwork offers something to rest in, and rest before, something to help still your mind and heart… to discover the heartbeat of who you truly are.
This is the heart of the voice of silence: that you may know in the stillness that you are not alone, that you matter.

the beauty of silence
Silence can be both comforting and distressing.
The Voice of Silence is a movement within my artwork to create a presence of safety and stillness for silence.
I believe it is out of the silence that we can reveal ourselves and the places within us that need healing…
…who we truly are beyond our brokenness.
Without silence, we cannot deepen in our humanity. We remain disconnected from ourselves and others.
True silence heals us.
art for when words don’t suffice…
No matter who we are or where we’re from, suffering and trauma are something we all have in common. We often don’t have the words or know how to sit with another’s pain……because we haven’t yet learned how to sit with our own. The artwork that comes out of the Voice of Silence aims to bring that sense of safety and peace while we connect with our humanity and each other.
This artwork is meant to reach us where we feel lost and alone, unheard and unseen. It can also be a place of stability when encountering circumstances beyond our control.
These paintings also inspire life and rejuvenate our spirit to express the beauty of the human experience. I often capture scenes of nature as the focus of my art because nature has a way of calling us back to silence and stillness that we have often lost but so desperately need.
